Have you ever felt like you were doing the right thing, and it turns out that maybe whatever you were doing might be the right but not the best thing, so things get sorts of gets screwed up, and you have to do something to repair it, but the you do not want to do anything because you're afraid of causing things to become even worse, but then things are going to remain shitty because you're doing nothing?
I think that perfectly describes what's going through my head right now.
